A new trailer for Season 3 of Stranger Things has just dropped but who voiced the terrifying monster making its return?

Season 3 of Netflix’s Stranger Things is now less than two weeks away!

To build even more hype for the upcoming season, Netflix have released another trailer for Stranger Things 3, which can be viewed below.

In the trailer, we hear, for the first time ever, the eerily calculating voice of the Mind Flayer, the evil monster from season 2. But just who’s voicing the maniacal monster in the new trailer and upcoming season?

All you need to know about Stranger Things Season 3

Season 3 of Stranger Things continues the story of our young heroes as they, believing that they’re safe after the climactic events of Season 2, attempt to get on with their normal lives.

However, just as summer is set to truly get underway, matters in Hawkins take a sinister turn for the worst as the Mind Flayer, the terrifying monster they fought off in Season 2 returns to unleash its evil will upon the people of the town.

The group of youngsters must put emerging differences aside in order to overcome the returning threat.

What is the Mind Flayer?

The infamous Mind Flayer first appeared in Season 2 of Stranger Things and emerged as the terrifying main antagonist for our young heroes.

The monster, whose true form in the Upside Down is similar to that of a giant spider, must take on a host to survive in our world and almost succeeded after ensnaring Will during Season 2.

The gang thought they had defeated the Mind Flayer when Eleven shut the gate to the Upside Down but as we see in the new trailer, the Mind Flayer has actually been trapped in our world instead.

Who voices the Mind Flayer?

For the first time ever in the newly released trailer, we heard the Mind Flayer speak.

His eerily calculating voice is certainly one to leave shivers down your spine but who does the voice belong to?

Unfortunately, no cast lists for the show outright say who’s playing the Mind Flayer.

However, the cast list over on Wikipedia has Michael Park (Peter Gordon in Gotham) down on the cast as an unnamed character.

Could that mean that he is voicing the Mind Flayer in Stranger Things Season 3? Quite possibly.

We’ll likely find out for certain when Season 3 of Stranger Things releases on Netflix on July 4, 2019.
