Adomah, linked with a move to the City Ground, helped Villa achieve a Championship top-six place and win the playoffs to reach the Premier League.
With Nottingham Forest having been linked with a move for Albert Adomah, the reaction of a number of Aston Villa fans to the speculation suggests that the Reds would be getting a real asset with the right character and attitude to succeed at the City Ground.
The 31-year-old winger is available on a free transfer following his release by the West Midlands club – who won the Championship playoffs and will be in the Premier League next term – after making 24 league starts for them (Transfermarkt) during their promotion-winning season.
According to the Bristol Post, Nottingham Forest are one of four clubs – along with fellow Championship sides Millwall, Bristol City and an unnamed “league heavyweight” – to have declared a “verbal interest” in snapping up Adomah this summer.
Adomah joined Villa in 2016 from Middlesbrough and made 125 appearances for them – it’s worth noting that for each of the four professional clubs he has played for during his career, he has made over a century of appearances, which is testament to his talent and consistency (Transfermarkt).
Twitter reaction from some Villans faithful regarding Adomah’s potential next destination goes even further to highlighting just how highly he is valued – more food for thought for the Forest faithful:

I don’t think you would ever hear a villa fan with a bad word to say about him— Michael Bakewell (@stig7_7) 15 June 2019
A great person and a hell of a player. Pace, trickery, experienced, knows how to beat his man, would be an asset for any team, getting on a bit, but could do a job at any Championship club— Capt’n Crunch’s Grindr Date ⚧ (@CAW_92) 15 June 2019
