Celtic reportedly want to sign Bolton Wanderers youngster Luca Connell in the summer transfer window.

Celtic are interested in signing Bolton youngster Connell, according to The Bolton News.
It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership outfit have made an official approach to the English club to secure the services of the 18-year-old, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder.
Bolton goalkeeper Matthews, 25, believes that Connell would be a good signing for Celtic this summer.
Matthews told The National about Connell: “If he is to move on, and I hope he doesn’t, then I can’t think of many better places for him to go than Celtic.
“I would have no worries at all about him going up there and handling the expectation that comes with playing for such a massive club in front of 60,000 people.
“He has the right sort of mentality for that, and he certainly has the ability to go up there and make an impact.”
Matthews added: “As I say, he’s a big, big talent, and from a selfish perspective I just hope we can hold onto him, because he has become an important player for us, as he would be for any team that he goes to in the future. And I would include Celtic in that.”

Good signing for Celtic?
Connell is a hugely talented player, and his versatility to operate as a defender or as a midfielder does make him a very attractive signing for Celtic.
The Hoops need young and dynamic players in their squad in the coming years, and the 18-year-old does fit the bill.
According to WhoScored, the teenager made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship and made one start and one substitute appearance in the FA Cup for Bolton this past season.
