Everton should consider a move for the Real Madrid midfielder.
Everton fans will be expecting their side to kick on next season, and make a real push for the top six.
In order for this to happen, however, Marco Silva will need to really improve his options at Goodison Park this summer.
One area of the Toffees squad which is indeed of improvement is central midfield, with more quality needed to supplement the likes of Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin.
It is still unclear as to whether Everton will sign Andre Gomes on a permanent deal, and with this in mind, the Merseyside outfit should consider a move for Real Madrid ace Dani Ceballos, who could be available for around €50 million (£45 million) this summer, according to Spanish publication El Desmarque.
The six-capped Spain international, 22, is a silky midfielder, with a wonderful range of passing, and he is extremely comfortable when in possession of the football.
He would add more creativity and guile to Everton's midfield, and he would compliment the likes of Gueye and Schneiderlin perfectly.
The Madrid ace would also bring some much-needed youth to the Toffees' engine room, with Gueye and Schneiderlin both set to turn 30 before the turn of the year.
Whether Everton will be prepared to pay £45 million for someone who is unproven in the Premier League, however, remains to be seen.
Ceballos possesses the exact kind of quality that they need though, so Silva should take a leap of faith, and attempt to bring him to Goodison Park this summer - it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Merseysiders.
