A Liverpool legend suggested that his old club sign one Tottenham Hotspur star this summer.

Liverpool fans on Twitter are fully on board with what John Aldridge suggested about signing Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min.

Aldridge told The Irish Independent this past weekend that although he couldn’t see Spurs selling the South Korean, he was good enough for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.

The 26-year-old scored 20 goals in all competitions for Tottenham last season, but many were of a major significance.

Here’s how fans of the Anfield club reacted to what Aldridge suggested:

Liverpool supporters are right to want him, but it wouldn’t happen in a million years.

The Merseysiders, who beat Mauricio Pochettino’s side to the Champions League title earlier this month, aren’t going to be spending huge amounts on players this summer – and that’s what it’d take to prise Son from North London, a very big amount.

The former Bayer Leverkusen attacker is contracted to the Lilywhites until 2023 and, given his importance to Pochettino’s side, he won’t be going anywhere.
