Newcastle United are said to be considering another raid on the American market.

Newcastle United have been linked with Jefferson Savarino, who could be their next Miguel Almiron.

Newcastle are said to be interested in the Real Salt Lake winger by Sky Sports, who has caught the eye playing in America.

It is a market which Newcastle know well having only bought Almiron in January from Atlanta United.

Almiron has hit the ground running at St. James’ Park, and the hope is that Savarino might be able to repeat the trick.

Savarino is less experienced that Almiron, but he has shown flashes of quality.

The Venezuelan has three goals in 13 MLS appearances, and is regarded as one of the quickest players in the league.

If Savarino was to be brought to Newcastle he could become their first addition of the summer.

And the hope is that he could make a similar impact to Almiron, who has quickly become a fans’ favourite at St. James’ Park.
