And if they could take advantage of Nantes’ interest in the Croatian to get some money off Rongier then the transfer would make perfect sense for all parties.

Rongier scored four goals and claimed seven assists in Ligue 1 last term, and if he did arrive at Villa, he could make competition fierce for a place in Smith’s side’s midfield.
