According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with Harris about a free transfer move to Hillsborough.
It follows the winger's release by Cardiff earlier this month, despite having appeared 13 times for the Bluebirds last season.
And the decision did not go down well with many of a Cardiff persuasion.
This is how they reacted to the news...
Nooo keep him!!!— Alex James (@Alex_James95) June 7, 2019
Don't blame @KadeemHarris27 for moving on. No matter how well he played for us, none of our manager ever gave him a run of games. Will be a good freebie for someone.— Huw (@HuwCCFC) June 7, 2019
Terrible decision by the club to let a great talent go. Never given the opportunity to prove himself at the CCS. Good luck Kadeem ⚽️— Dafydd Jones (@dafyddhj78) June 9, 2019
Brilliant every time he plays. Never understood why he wasn’t played more— John (@jonnyboydee) June 7, 2019
You electrified the game when ever you came on. You’ll be missed— Andrew Gudgeon OBE (@acgudgeon) June 8, 2019
Gutted mate , best wishes for the future— russell morgan (@madmorgs) June 8, 2019
Ah, I’m gutted. Have a good time wherever you end up Kadeem @KadeemHarris27— Luke Bradwick (@Bradwick_) June 8, 2019
Deffo be a good signing for anyone, always liked him and gutted he never got to play— Maximillian (@MaximillianJH) June 8, 2019
You’ve got to be kidding me sign him up ffs he’s quality when given the chance— (@BEM05_13) June 7, 2019
Absolutely insane decision, one of our quickest players, lets hope they bring someone in with a matched pace. All the best in your bright future @KadeemHarris27— Ana Woodward (@anababe36) June 7, 2019
Warnock is a prick why let him go he’s quality— Whizz (@Whizz863) June 7, 2019
And responses such as this one are very much the exception...
Nice lad gives 100% but ultimately not good enough if we are aiming for top of of the table again. Will be a decent signing for somebody but will be surprised if this comes back to haunt us. Wish him well wherever he goes— Scott (@scottblue66) June 7, 2019
It's claimed that Sheffield Wednesday could face competition from Middlesbrough to sign the 25-year-old, who began life at Wycombe Wanderers.
But geography could yet work in Wednesday’s favour, being in an area with which Harris should have some knowledge following a loan spell at Barnsley, and one that is closer to his London roots.
Harris has played 57 times at Championship level, and scored or made 11 goals.
Would the former Cardiff winger be a good addition for Sheffield Wednesday?
