HITC Sport understands Fleetwood Town are poised to sign Josh Morris on a free transfer.

Fleetwood Town are set to sign Scunthorpe United winger Josh Morris on a free transfer HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Morris, who is a free agent after turning down a new deal at Scunthorpe, is due to undergo a medical at Fleetwood after agreeing on a move to Highbury for next season.
The 27-year-old’s availability on a free transfer has alerted a number of Championship and League One clubs as they look to bolster their attacking options, but Fleetwood have moved quickly to try and bring him to the club.
Morris was one of Scunthorpe’s shining lights in a disappointing season which resulted in relegation, scoring five goals and providing six assists in just 19 League One outings.

The former Blackburn Rovers youngster saw his season held up by a couple of injury lay-offs and his absence was sorely missed as Scunthorpe failed to secure League One survival.
Morris has previously enjoyed two loan spells at Fleetwood helping the club win promotion to League One in the 2013/14 season before returning on loan again for the 2014/15 season, scoring eight goals in 45 appearances for the club.
His return would come as a welcome boost to Fleetwood boss Joey Barton as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion next season.
