Report: Aston Villa want players from Spain and France

Aston Villa have already been quite active in the summer transfer window.

According to The Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch wants to sign players from Spain and France in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Pitarch has added names from Spain and France onto the list of players Villa want to sign this summer.

 

Exciting summer

Villa will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.

The Villans do have a good squad, but they need to make signings this summer in order to compete in the Premier League.

Signing players from France and Spain sounds very exciting, and the Villa Park faithful should be looking forward to what is in store this summer.

Villa have already been busy in the summer transfer window, signing attacking midfielder Jota from Birmingham City and forward Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge.

The Villans have also made the loan deal of Anwar El Ghazi from Lille permanent.

John Terry stay

Meanwhile, The Scottish Sun has claimed that Frank Lampard will not take Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry to Chelsea.

It has been reported that the current Derby County boss will be appointed as the new Chelsea manager.

Lampard played with Terry at Chelsea and for the England national football team, but he reportedly does not plan to take the former defender to Stamford Bridge.
