Plenty of players out there have rejected the opening contracts just this one got out— Joseph (@josephduffy81) June 16, 2019
Cue another wasted career at some backwater English club on a salary only affordable via broadcast/parachute cash. At least the agent will be happy.— Declan Mooney (@declan_r_m) June 14, 2019
Always remember, the name on the back of the shirt is not bigger than the one on the front!!— Nicola McCall (@NicolaMcCall11) June 14, 2019
Well done Celtic for actually telling us fans what's happening . Turnbull has a chance to play at a massive club here and if he hits the heights he'll get a big money move to the premiership in years to come. If he turns this down then his agent is a clown, He is only 19.— Garry Sean Mclaren (@garry_mclaren) June 14, 2019
Absolutely embarrassing, just as bad as the way they offered Lennon the job ...— Mark (@Oataat) June 14, 2019
I don't think it is.. I think the club paid good money for a decent prospect. The boy needs to learn that's all he is, an expensive prospect.. Can't blame the club for the boy thinking he's due some crazy wage.. Club is Right not to be put over a barrell, for me.— Will. McCusker . (@mccusker_w) June 14, 2019
Totally support this statement if agent is at it....we can't be used like this— Jim W (@fieldgunner12) June 14, 2019
If he doesn't want to join the champions we move on and sign players who want to wear the green & white— Fergal Christie -Fergal Ní Criosta (@fjchristie63) June 14, 2019

Celtic transfer off?
It is hard to see Celtic change their stance regarding Turnbull, especially as they have publicly made it clear that they will not do so, and it will not look good if they decide otherwise.
Turnbull is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and the 19-year-old should give second thoughts to what has been offered by the Hoops, as the chance to play for Celtic does not come frequently.
