Aston Villa’s latest signing Wesley Moraes has already embarrassed one of his new teammates at Villa Park while playing for Club Brugge.

Villa paid £22 million to snap up Wesley from Brugge yesterday, and Lovre Kalinic will know about the striker’s quality more than most.

When Kalinic was at Gent, Wesley scored a hat-trick past him in a 4-0 victory for Brugge.

That match took place under a year ago, and Kalinic is sure to be telling his Villa teammates good things about the Brazilian striker, having seen how destructive he can be first hand.

Wesley is under significant pressure at Villa, as he is expected to be the man to lead the line for Dean Smith’s side next term.

Villa have been looking for a replacement for Tammy Abraham, and have identified Wesley as a striker who could make a big impact in the Premier League.

Wesley has become Villa's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jota and Anwar El Ghazi.
