The Tottenham Hotspur ace would surely benefit from joining Southampton on a season-long loan.

Ralph Hasenhuttl the head coach

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will surely be looking to bolster his ranks at St Mary's this summer, with more quality and guile needed in the middle of the park, and Tottenham might just be able to help them out.

Spurs look set to spend big this summer, with Tanguy Ndomeble and Giovani Lo Celso both key targets for Mauricio Pochettino, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

If Tottenham do sign those two midfielders, Oliver Skipp would surely be available on loan, and Southampton should attempt to bring the 18-year-old to St Mary's.

Despite his tenders years, Skipp seems more than comfortable playing in the Premier League, as he proved during his eight league appearances for Spurs last season, and he would be an excellent addition for the Saints.

Having said this, the teenager will struggle for regular action at Tottenham next season, and that could seriously hinder his development.

Playing regularly for Southampton would benefit him hugely, and Spurs would surely be keen to loan the youngster out, especially to a club like the Saints who play in a similar style to them.

Skipp possesses a wonderful skillset. He's composed when in possession, has a wonderful array of passing and has the ability to carry the ball from deep into more advanced positions - all qualities that Southampton have sometimes lacked in the middle of the park.

It could be argued that he is not quite at the level required to play for Tottenham regularly, however, especially if they sign Ndombele and or Lo Celso.

And a move to the south coast seems to be the ideal solution for the Spurs teen.
