Report: Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier open to Juventus switch, £26.7 million fee mooted

Juventus reportedly want to sign the Tottenham Hotspur right-back.

Kieran Trippier talks to the press at St Georges Park on May 22, 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Il Bianconero, Tottenham ace Kieran Trippier wants to join Juventus this summer, with his wife having already scouted Turin for houses and potential new schools for their children.

The 28-year-old Spurs right-back joined Mauricio Pochettino's side in the summer of 2015 for just £3.5 million, and despite initially serving as Kyle Walker's understudy, he came into his own during the 2017/18 campaign, before enjoying a wonderful World Cup with England.

Trippier was really poor last season, however, and it could be argued that Serge Aurier would now be ahead of him in the right-back pecking order at Tottenham.

Spurs also have Kyle Walker-Peters, so they could probably afford to lose the England international.

In addition to this, Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham want to sign Marseille right-back Hiroki Sakai, so it seems as though they could be planning for life without Trippier.

And now Il Bianconero claims that the Spurs ace is keen to join Juve, with the Serie A giants getting serious about signing the right-back, as João Cancelo nears an exit from Turin.

Trippier, who currently earns £65,000 per week according to Spotrac, should fetch around £26.7 million (Il Bianconero), and that would surely be considered as excellent business for Tottenham.
