Lee Wallace has left Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and has joined Queens Park Rangers.

Rangers defender James Tavernier has taken to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to Lee Wallace, who is leaving the Ibrox club and is joining Queens Park Rangers.

Wallace has left Rangers this summer, having joined the Gers from Heart of Midlothian back in the summer of 2011 for a transfer fee reported by The Scotsman to be worth £1.5 million.

 

The 31-year-old had been a key player for Rangers over the years, but this past season, he struggled for playing time and has played just three times in the Scottish Premiership, according to WhoScored.

As announced on QPR’s official website today, the Championship club in England have secured the services of Wallace on a free transfer on a two-year contract.

Rangers right-back Tavernier has taken to Twitter to send an emotional message to Wallace following the left-back’s departure from the Gers and subsequent move to QPR.

Wigan Athletic star Josh Windass, who can operate as a forward or as a midfielder, played with Wallace at Rangers, and he has also taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the 25-year-old joining QPR.
