Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers and Celtic are interested in signing Greg Taylor in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Record, and the Kilmarnock left-back should pick the Gers over the Hoops.

Celtic have one of the best young left-backs in Europe in Kieran Tierney, and it is hard to see the 22-year-old Scotland international left-back lose his place in the Hoops’ starting lineup anytime soon.

Rangers, though, have issues regarding the left-back slot, and manager Gerrard has yet to find a player who can play in that position consistently well.

Lee Wallace is leaving the Gers, while Borna Barisic has struggled to make an impact and Jon Flanagan has not exactly been great when deployed at left-back.

Taylor would go straight into the Rangers starting lineup, and for this very reason, the 21-year-old Scotland international - who can also operate as a midfielder - should pick the Gers over the Hoops.

According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old made 36 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Kilmarnock this past season, scoring one goal in the process.
