Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Real Madrid ace, according to reports.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet El Desmarque, Tottenham are the main team in for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer, but for the quoted price of around £45 million, he really would not be worth the money for the north London outfit.
The 22-year-old joined Los Blancos from Real Betis in the summer of 2017, but he has really struggled at the Bernabeu, making just 17 La Liga starts for the Spanish giants.
All three names mentioned would be far better options for Tottenham than Ceballos, and it's not even as if the Madrid midfielder is available on the cheap.
The six-capped Spain international has shown that he is a decent player over the past few years, but nothing more than that, and he certainly would not be worth £40 million plus.
Spurs need to add some real top class talent to their ranks this summer, and as harsh as it may seem, Ceballos just doesn't fit into that category.
This summer's transfer window will be a vitally important one for Tottenham, and avoiding a move for the Madrid midfielder would be a wise move from Mauricio Pochettino.
