Tottenham Hotspur fans think that Real Betis coach Rubi’s comments are a good sign that Giovani Lo Celso’s move to White Hart Lane could be very close.

Sky Sports have reported that Tottenham are interested in Lo Celso, with the Argentine keen on a move to the north London club.

And Rubi has refused to rule out a departure for Lo Celso in ABC Sevilla, amid rumours that the playmaker could join Tottenham.

“You always want to have the best players at your command and Lo Celso is,” he said. “I do not have to talk about a player who, without being a striker, has scored 16 goals in his first season here, but I do say one thing.”

"I have peace of mind that, if he has to leave, hopefully not, that money will be invested in improving the squad.”

Spurs fans now feel that Rubi’s admission is a positive sign, and they are starting to get excited about a potential transfer.

Lo Celso would be an excellent addition to Tottenham’s squad, as he could offer them a sizeable increase in creativity.

The former PSG man was one of the stars of La Liga last term, where he scored 16 goals and claimed six assists.

Tottenham have not made a signing since January 2018, and Lo Celso would be a fine way to end their wait for a new arrival.
