Unlike Avengers A-Day which looks horrible with its uncanny valley appearances and immersion-breaking voices, Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake looks like a familiar but new enough experience that will be better than good. Xbox One gamers are understandably concerned about it being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but there's hope yet that it'll still come to Microsoft's console.
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first announced back at E3 2015 during Sony's press conference, and it was revived at Sony's second State Of Play before E3 2019.
Square Enix has announced a release date and the game is available to pre-order, but only for Sony gamers. However, Xbox One gamers shouldn't bemoan missing out on one of the greatest JRPGs of all time again just yet.

Is Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake a PS4 exclusive?
The Japanese developer has recently hinted at their Final Fantasy 7 Remake being a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 title, but is it also coming to Xbox One?
Well, there's still a good chance it'll come to Xbox One and PC eventually in 2020 as Square Enix has suggested it's only a timed PS4 exclusive.
In a press release, Square Enix purposefully noted that the remake will "debut first" on PS4, and Xbox gamers will appreciate that there's no "Only on PlayStation" message at the end of the E3 2019 trailer.
Furthermore, Gamestop Ireland has listed an Xbox One version and made it available to pre-order (Daily Star).
Seeing as the original and still beautiful 1997 version of Final Fantasy VII was ported to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch earlier this year, it was always likely that the remake would end up on Microsoft's console.
Square Enix also debuted Kingdom Hearts on Xbox One with the third instalment, and they haven't verbally stated that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a PS4 exclusive.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake launches on May, 2020 for the PS4 only and it's available to pre-order.
