Aston Villa’s summer transfer business will play a big part in how they perform in the Premier League next season.

Aston Villa are in the hunt to sign Cordoba winger Andres Martin, who is also attracting interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to a report.
Spanish outlet Cordopolis have claimed that a host of clubs, including Villa and German side Eintracht Frankfurt, are set to battle it out for the highly-rated 19-year-old.
Villa recently earned promotion to the Premier League last month and they will be keen to add to their squad as they return to the big time.
Dean Smith is known to give youngsters a chance and bring through the younger players from the academy, therefore, it isn’t a surprise that he is being touted for a highly-rated Spanish teenager.
During the recently concluded season, Martin played 32 matches in all competitions for Cordoba, 29 of those appearances came in La Liga 2 where the versatile attacker scored seven goals and supplied his teammates with four assists [transfermarkt].

Martin would be a relatively unknown figure to Villa Park supporters, but given the business the club has done in the past three seasons, and especially during the past campaign, those are the types of signings that end up working out.
Not many Villa supporters knew about John McGinn before he joined the club from Scottish side Hibernian last summer, nor Anwar El Ghazi, but both had excellent seasons and scored both of Villa’s goals in the Championship play-off final win against Derby County.
Added with that, midfielder McGinn also won the Fans Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and won the goal of the season award in the Championship.
