Newcastle United fans have suggested that Ayoze Perez should leave, after his latest comments to the Chronicle.
Perez has refused to offer any guarantees that he will be at Newcastle next season.
“It’s something that I cannot say right now. You cannot guarantee it,” Perez said, when asked if he’d be at Newcastle next term.
“We’ll see. It’s going to be a long summer. Obviously, there’s going to be a day where you make a decision. It depends on many things. Let’s see what happens. Obviously, this place is always going to be in my heart, whatever happens. We’ll see what happens.”
The Spanish forward has made similar comments before, when he has suggested that a move could appeal.
And some Newcastle fans have accused Perez, who is on a £45,000-a-week contract at St.James' Park (Spotrac), of trying to get himself a move away from St. James’ Park.
Just go !there is no future for good young players at this club .— Eric saddler (@ericsaddler2) June 13, 2019
Must be about the 75th interview where he’s talked about leaving in the last month. Get rid, €25m would buy you much better imo.— bigrobnufc (@Robbieo68646502) June 13, 2019

As much as I really like Perez, I don’t think he’s good enough to hold nufc to ransom , so Adios bonny lad #rafa#nufc— Allan Miller (@TcTaxi) June 13, 2019
@Bassysaffari those are quotes from a man who is definitely leaving.— lagerfanny (@harkbomb) June 13, 2019
By what he's saying, I would not expect him to be at #nufc for next season.— Scott Thirtle (@ThirtlesHead) June 13, 2019
Definitely wanting out.— The Geordie Boot Boy #NUFC (@BootGeordie) June 13, 2019
Seems to be angling for a way out.— Martin Johnson (@MartinJohnson10) June 13, 2019
If a decent offer was made I'd sell him. He had a really good end to the season but the 28 games before that he was awful. Happens every year. Needs to do it more regularly. He's got the potential to do it— John Ruddy (@John87Ruddy) June 13, 2019
Perez’s departure would hurt Newcastle, as he was one of their key attacking players last term.
The Spaniard was in great form towards the climax of the season, and ended up finishing on 12 goals for the campaign.
Perez’s departure from Newcastle is unlikely to take place any time soon though, as the Magpies are refusing to do any transfer business until Rafael Benitez’s future is sorted.
