Everton are looking for a new striker this summer, and reports in Italy suggest that Marcel Brands has a lofty target in mind.

The Toffees have made contact with Juventus about a deal for Moise Kean according to the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italy, and a move could happen.

Everton fans would be forgiven for being blown away by such a rumour, and whilst a loan move may be more realistic, if Brands can secure a permanent deal, it would be his best yet.

Kean, 19, hit seven goals in 17 games for Juventus this past season, summing up just why he's regarded as one of the most promising young centre forwards in Europe.

Yet with just a year left on his contract, Juve risk losing Kean, as they can't promise him playing time given that Cristiano Ronaldo is their first-choice striker.

Kean may now look to leave, and Everton would be pulling off a masterstroke. The Italian international has absolutely everything for a teenage striker, possessing pace, strength, skill, finishing ability and impressive attacking movement.

Kean can become anything he wants to be, whether it's as a physical centre forward or as a striker who can run in behind defences, and his huge potential means that he may be one of the best in Europe inside the next five or ten years.

He'd feature prominently at Everton, which may be part of the appeal, and whilst the Toffees would surely see him star at Goodison Park, they'd also be in line for a huge profit if they ended up selling – just what Brands wants.

Everton signing him would be a staggering signal of intent, and whilst a move may be unlikely right now, securing a deal this summer would leave Toffees fans feeling that Brands is an absolute genius.
