Liverpool have been linked with a move for the RB Leipzig forward.
It is hard to suggest an area where Jurgen Klopp needs to improve his Liverpool squad this summer.
If the Reds really want to reach the next level, however, the German will undoubtedly need to bolster his options this summer, and one area that could do with some fine-tuning is his centre-forward department, especially after Daniel Sturridge's release.
The Merseyside outfit missed out on the Serbian, and they cannot allow the same to happen with RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
The 25-capped Germany international is a £35.6m summer target for Liverpool, according to German publication Bild, and Klopp must do everything within his power to bring him to Anfield.
Werner, 23, was in fine form for Leipzig last season, racking up 19 goals and 10 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions, and he possesses all of the attributes that Liverpool need.
He is incredibly quick, can play anywhere along the front-line, and would provide fantastic competition for Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at Anfield.
Werner also plays with a certain kind of directness and energy that would make him perfectly suited to Klopp's high-octane setup at Liverpool.
And for the reported fee of just £35.6 million, Liverpool really cannot afford to miss out on the Germany international.
