The Leicester City boss left Celtic in February, and is reportedly considering raiding his former club for their top talent.
Both Tierney and McGregor are said to be in Leicester’s sights, as Rodgers looks to use his Parkhead contacts to benefit himself this summer.
But Celtic supporters are desperate for any potential transfer not to happen, as they feel it would be a bitter pill to swallow.
Rodgers is having a laugh if he thinks he’s taking tierney or mcgregor !— Mark (@Duffbhoy1983) June 11, 2019
If Kieran Tierney and or Callum McGregor I will be absolutely gutted— Siobhan (@TheKingcrawler_) June 11, 2019
Even if they did bid, it’s not happening. Would need to be a massive club for him to move. I’ve decided it’s not happening anyway— K (@kizmok) June 11, 2019
BR set to make move for Tierney & Mcgregor. Surely Celtic have more sense than to sell either of these pair before the 10!!— chloe (@ceedeexo) June 12, 2019
If he even tries to buy them it pretty much proves he’s never a Celtic fan.— Scott Dair (@ScottDair5) June 12, 2019
If Kieran Tierney moved to Leicester he would lose all affinity he had with fans. Yes he will move eventually and I wish him well. He should resist all temptation to join Leicester and Brendan Rodgers— Sam Browne (@Stranafeley) June 11, 2019
Yeah, I think if any player followed that snake Rodgers the fans would not look favourably at them.— C Diddy (@IAmManBearPig) June 11, 2019
Going nowhere till at least after the 10— B (@clydebankceltic) June 11, 2019
Then & only then will be entertain offers of 50million for the pair
Rodgers has already severely damaged his relationship with Celtic fans after leaving for Leicester, and the potential double deal would only ruin his reputation with the Glasgow side even further.
Rodgers did a brilliant job at Celtic, but Bhoys supporters are frustrated that he left them part way through the season.
Both Tierney and McGregor have, rather importantly, never suggested that they are looking to move to the Premier League - so whether they would even be interested in a reunion with Rodgers at Leicester remains to be seen.
