ITV's reliable output of entertaining and gripping drama is set to continue this year with the impending release of Wild Bill which is hitting our screens tonight at 9pm.
The new police drama follows Bill Hixon, played by Golden Globe and Emmy Award-nominated Rob Lowe, as he starts a new life in Boston, Lincolnshire after a haunting past in the US forces him to move.
But who else is joining Lowe in the show's cast and when will we be able to watch it?
What's Wild Bill all about?
By the numbers US cop Bill Hixon arrives at his new desk job in Boston, Lincolnshire after a troublesome past in the states.
He's confident that his approach can cut the area's crime and the forces' spending but is met with opposition from the officers under his charge as they realise their jobs could well be at stake.
Hixon's cushy new job gets a whole lot tougher when a case thought to be long cold heats right back up and he's forced back into action.
When is Wild Bill on?
Wild Bill takes to our screens on Wednesday, June 12th, that's today, folks, and will be aired at 9pm.
The series will run for a total of six episodes.
Who's in Wild Bill?
As well as Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Parks and Recreation and Disney's The Lion Guard) in the starring role, Wild Bill is set to feature Bronwyn James (The ABC Murders) as DC Muriel Yeardsley, the only police offer who seems to be on Bill Hixon's side when he arrives in Lincolnshire.
Anthony Flanagan who's been on everything from Life on Mars and Doctor Who to Being Human and more recently Versailles, takes up the role of PC Sean Cobley.
Divian Ladwa will appear as PC Drakes. Ladwa has also appeared in Detectorists and more recently had a minor role in Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Anjili Mohindra, who rose to TV fame as Rani Chandra in the BBC's Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures and appeared in Bodyguard, takes on the role of ACC Lydia Price and is very much opposed to Hixon's new outlook for the Boston police force.
And there is Aleksander Jovanovic who joins the cast as Oleg Kraznov. Jovanovic has also appeared in an episode of Doctor Who, the 2016 Christmas special but has mostly made a name for himself on German TV.
Others include: Aloreia Spencer (her first role), Rachel Stirling (Detectorists and Snow White and the Huntsman), Tony Pitts (Line of Duty, Peaky Blinders, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Steffan Rhodri (Wonder Woman, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow pt.1), Vicki Pepperdine (Getting On, Johnny English Strikes Again) and Angela Griffin (Coronation Street, Waterloo Road)
As mentioned earlier, Wild Bill is heading to ITV today and is set to air at 9pm.
