Tottenham Hotspur are likely to offload at least one of Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier, possibly even both as Mauricio Pochettino looks to overhaul his right back options.
Spurs have been linked with a number of rights backs so far, and many fans would love to see Tottenham push the boat out to land Crystal Palace ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
That looks unlikely, and whilst Norwich City's Max Aarons would tick boxes for Pochettino, a shock target emerged on Monday morning.
Sky Sports claimed that Tottenham are interested in signing Marseille right back Hiroki Sakai, even though they have concerns about the 29-year-old's age.
A Japanese international, Sakai has been a solid and dependable full back for Marseille, but he's not exactly one to set pulses racing at Tottenham.
In fact, Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to blast such a move, showing just how unpopular it would be if Spurs bring in an unheralded 29-year-old rather than an exciting right back for the present and the future.
Well, if that's what Spurs fans think, then what about Marseille fans? We translated some of the best tweets from Marseille supporters, with a wide range of takes about Sakai's potential move.
Some believe that Sakai is a 'warrior', and suggested that Marseille shouldn't sell him under any circumstances, believing it's out of the question to sell the former Hannover man.
Others think that now is the right time to cash in on Sakai, as his value will only plummet once he hits his 30's, with some admitting they'd pack his bags if an offer over €10million came in from Spurs...
'Don't sell Sakai, he is the only warrior of the team' - Papin921
'We are going to suffer, do not let go of Sakai' - Lighighty
'Don't touch Sakai' - VelodromeAdaire
'No, not Sakai, not Sakai... Sell whoever you want, but not Hiroki, that's out of the question' - kerlon__
'If an offer comes for Sakai at a higher price than €10M, I'd sell without hesitation. Not that I do not appreciate the player, quite the contrary' - mariusteam10
'Hiroki Sakai (29 years old) I like him, he is endearing, he is a warrior, and is our Samurai! But at more than 10M€, I prepare his own suitcase...' - Octane_OM
'I love Sakaï but if an offer arrives at more than 12M€ for him, I'd lose him without problems. Leave aside your affection for the player and think about the Club. He is already 29 years old and has no crazy potential. In a year he will be unmarketable' - Vincent1393
