Tony Cascarino said on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT (7:13am, June 8, 2019) that John Stones has not improved since he left Everton for Manchester City back in 2016.

Stones joined City from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £47.5 million.

Former Chelsea striker Cascarino believes that the England international central defender has not improved during his time at City so far.

Cascarino said about Stones on the Weekend Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT (7:13am, June 8, 2019): “He is not a better player than when he was at Everton.

“No, I don’t think he has improved. He has stagnated as a centre-half. Of all the players that Pep has improved, John is not one of them.”
