Miyazaki has weighed in on whether Elden Ring for PS4 will be as hard as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
Alongside Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077, and Phantasy Star Online 2 for the west only (damn you Sega), From Software's collaboration with George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring, was announced via a CG trailer during Microsoft's E3 2019 showcase. And PlayStation 4 and Xbox gamers all have one question: will it be as excruciatingly hard as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice?
From Software and George R.R. Martin's collaboration was rumoured for E3 2019 a while ago, and the Japanese developer certainly delivered.
It's a tad disappointing that we didn't get to see any gameplay, but the legendary Hidetaka Miyazaki has shared some mouth-watering details that will surely cause the From Software fanbase to cream their jeans.

Elden Ring PS4: Will it be as hard as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro?
As with any new From Software title, the gaming community always wants to know whether the developer is staying true to their excruciatingly difficult gameplay philosophy.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was unfairly lambasted by gamers who couldn't hop aboard the From Software bandwagon due to it being too difficult, and Elden Ring might cause the same amount of whining as Miyazaki isn't abandoning his ideals.
Speaking to the Xbox Wire, Miyazaki shared a lot of details about the collaboration with A Song Of Ice And Fire's George R.R. Martin.
Along with citing Martin's 1982 "Fevre Dream masterpiece" as an inspiration, the most exciting aspect of the interview is Miyazaki's response to whether he believes Elden Ring will be as challenging as other From Software video games.
"Yes, I do," replied Miyazaki. "The importance we place on the joy the player experiences through overcoming challenges will be the same as it is in our other titles. I believe it will prove to be a very satisfying experience.”
Miyazaki doesn't specifically say how difficult Elden Ring will be compared to Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, but it's reassuring to hear that From Software are continuing their model of providing players satisfaction through overcoming ungodly challenges.
As if this wasn't exciting enough, Miyazaki also discussed how Elden Ring's open-world makes it the studio's "biggest title yet".
"The scale of the world and its narrative, as well as the depth and freedom of exploration have increased dramatically... It is a world full of danger and threats, as well as many areas ripe for exploration. Among those areas, you will also find intricately designed, multi-layered castles and such."
Elden Ring is a PS4, Xbox One, and PC title, but From Software haven't announced a release date as of yet.
