The Toffees are claimed to be ready to trigger the Argentine’s release clause and will pay the US$15 million (£11.83m) needed to bring him to Goodison Park.

Gaich told Ole: “Playing in Europe is something any player dreams of, the best league is the English one for my taste, also the Italian and the German.”

One for the future

Gaich is a very talented and promising young forward, and the 20-year-old is one for the future.

The youngster has made only a handful of appearances for the San Lorenzo first team, and he is not yet ready to play week in and week out for the Everton first team.

However, in the coming years, with experience, the 20-year-old could become an asset for the Toffees.
