The Catch-22 cast boasts a number of exceptionally talented performers.

TV fanatics are in for a treat very soon, courtesy of the Catch-22 cast; Channel 4 viewers are invited to enjoy one of the year’s most exciting ensembles and an adaptation you won’t want to miss.

As you may have guessed, Catch-22 is based on Joseph Heller’s acclaimed 1961 novel of the same name. It’s actually based on the writers own personal experiences during the second world war.

Heller’s book is considered one of the most important and essential literary works of the twentieth century. So, if you’re a fan – or you’re simply curious – you’ll want to make sure you catch Luke Davies and David Michôd’s satirical mini-series. So, who’s in the cast?

George Clooney’s in it!

This new comedy-drama series centres upon a group of army airmen during World War II as they do their best to remain sane and return home.

It’s a thematically rich work, but the biggest draw isn’t the renowned source material; rather, it’s the ever-brilliant George Clooney.

The Hollywood star plays Scheisskopf, a lieutenant who advances his station throughout the narrative.

He’s an undeniably charismatic star and one we’ve enjoyed watching in such efforts as The Descendants, Ocean’s Eleven, Michael Clayton, Up in the Air – pretty much the majority of his output, frankly!

Catch-22 cast

Clooney will be joined by a host of talent, most notably Kyle Chandler. The actor played Agent Patrick Denham in The Wolf of Wall Street and has starred in the likes of Argo, Manchester by the Sea, First Man, Carol, Zero Dark Thirty and so many other terrific films.

The cast also features Rafi Gavron (A Star is Born), Kevin J. O’Connor (There Will Be Blood), Austin Stowell (Whiplash), Tessa Ferrer (Insidious: The Last Key) and more.

Honestly, there’s so much talent on board.

When is it on?

Catch-22 is made up of six episodes, the first of which will air on channel 4 on Thursday, June 20th 2019.
