The Sassuolo ace recently suggested that he would like to join Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will surely be keen to bolster his attacking ranks at Anfield this summer, especially after the release of Daniel Sturridge.

And with this in mind, the Reds should consider a move for Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi, who recently declared his admiration for the Merseyside outfit.

The 24-year-old recently told TMW that he would like to join Liverpool if he had the choice:

“If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club. Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool. Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it.”

The five-capped Italy international is a right winger by trade, but he can play anywhere along the front-line, and he would provide fantastic competition for the Reds’ current front three.

He recorded decent stats last season with 10 goals and five assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for Sassuolo, and he would surely be able to improve upon those numbers at Liverpool, what with the greater calibre of players who would be surrounding him.

The 24-year-old is quick off the mark, has a keen eye for a killer pass, and plays with a certain kind of directness that would see him slot perfectly into Klopp’s setup at Anfield.

According to Calcio Mercatio, Berardi is valued at €50 million (£44.5 million), and in today’s market, that would represent decent value for money for Liverpool.
