Darren Bent has suggested to Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are two choices for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale in the Premier League.

Bale has been linked with a move from Spanish and European giants Madrid back to Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are interested in bringing the Wales international winger to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

The 29-year-old winger was on the books of Tottenham from 2007 until 2013 when he made the move to Madrid for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £85 milliion.

During his time at Los Blancos so far, Bale has won La Liga once and the Champions League four times, but the Wales international winger has had injury issues and has not always been very consistent.

Bent played with Bale at Spurs, and the 35-year-old former Aston Villa and Derby County striker believes that the the North London outfit are a good fit for the Wales international.

The former Tottenham striker has also suggested that Premier League giants United are another option for Bale.

Bent told Sky Sports about Bale: "I can see him coming back [to England] but where is the difficulty. You look at Spurs and he knows the club, they're going in the right direction, a new stadium, brilliant manager, young team.

"He'll go to where suits him best and he'll have a number of options. When you look at the teams in the Premier League, it comes down to Tottenham and Manchester United."
