Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has told Sky Sports that he's flattered to be linked with such 'really big teams' like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Long tipped for stardom from his days at Anderlecht, Tielemans saw his career stall at Monaco, and he decided to head out on loan in January.
Leicester City swooped to take the Belgian midfielder until the end of the season, and he lived up to his hype with three goals and four assists in 13 Premier League games.
The Foxes understandably want to keep Tielemans on a permanent basis, but his form has sparked interest from other Premier League clubs.
Sky Sports recently claimed that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Tielemans, with the pair needing midfield reinforcements.
Monaco may hope for a bidding war between the three Premier League clubs, whilst it wouldn't be a surprise to see other English teams join the race.
Now, Tielemans has admitted that 'things are moving', with his future expected to be settled soon, and he added that he's flattered to be linked with really big teams like United and Spurs – but it may be worth nothing that only one of them can offer Champions League football next season...
“We'll see which club it will be,” said Tielemans. “The only thing I can say is things are moving. A lot of clubs have shown interest. We will see in the next few weeks who it will be.”
”Yes [I am flattered by Man Utd and Spurs interest], they are really big teams in England and in Europe. To hear those names gives me confidence. I just try to play my game on the pitch and try my best,” he added.
