Glasgow Rangers may have been given renewed hope in their pursuit of highly rated Ibrox loanee Ryan Kent, according to the Daily Record.

The Liverpool ace has impressed on his Rangers loan stint, scoring six goals and registering nine assists in 43 appearances according to Transfermarkt.

As a result, Kent picked up the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award and there have been calls from many of the Ibrox faithful to sign him permanently.

A prior report in the Daily Record from 30 May claimed that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wanted to see Kent in pre-season training following good reviews of his Gers stint.

However, a report from the same outlet from 6 June says Liverpool are set to make a decision on several of their fringe players, with Kent among those named in the list from which the Reds can make some cash, with a potential £100million in line to be raised from those sales.

The Daily Record does however suggest that Klopp himself remains reluctant to make a quick decision, while their mention of the Liverpool Echo's £12million valuation and reported interest from the likes of Aston Villa may complicate things further for Rangers.

Other Liverpool players whose Anfield futures are said to be under consideration, according to the report, are Harry Wilson, Ovie Ejaria, Nathaniel Clyne and Marko Grujic.
