Everton are reportedly set to make a bid for the Getafe ace.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Marca, Everton are ramping up their interest in £31 million-rated Djene Dakonam after Phil Jagielka’s exit and Kurt Zouma allegedly being unavailable for transfer this summer.
The Toffees have long been linked with a move for the Getafe ace, 27, with Mundo Deportivo reporting the Merseyside outfit’s interest in the defender last month, and Marco suggesting that they were monitoring him way back in March.
Everton are in desperate need of another top class centre-back this summer.
Phil Jagielka has left Goodison Park after spending 12 years with the Toffees, whilst Chelsea are reluctant to sell Kurt Zouma, according to the Telegraph.
And Spanish publication Marca claims that Everton will now firm up their interest in the Togo international, although Getafe will not sell him for anything less than €35 million (£31 million).

Dakonam is a solid defender, with plenty of pace, and he seems to be ideally suited to the robust nature of the Premier League.
And if Everton manage to sign him for £31 million, it would surely have to be considered as decent value for money for the Merseyside outfit.
