Martyn Waghorn was at Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers from 2015 until 2017.
Martyn Waghorn at Rangers
Waghorn joined Rangers in the summer of 2015 when the Gers were in the Scottish Championship.
The 29-year-old forward was on the books of Rangers until the summer of 2017 when he joined Ipswich Town in England.
The former England Under-21 international scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 44 Championship appearances for the Tractor Boys in the 2017-18, according to WhoScored, and earned a move to Derby in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £5 million.
The former Sunderland and Leicester City forward made 29 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Championship for Derby this season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Waghorn has been reflecting back on a goal he scored for Rangers against Hibernian back in 2015, and Rangers fans have responded to his post on Twitter urging him to return to Ibrox.

The atmosphere at that game was like an old firm waggy. Good to see you doing well at Derby and hopefully you get to the Premiership at some point.— Rangers Bantz (@RangersBanter17) June 6, 2019
Glad you’re doing well in the championship mate, make us all think what a good player we had up here and what you could have done given more time. Hopefully see you in the premier league in the next few seasons— Marc Gay (@marcgay12) June 6, 2019

Got stick for saying we should’ve kept you and I bet you they’re eating their own words now. You played in such a horrible Rangers squad, all ifs & buts on what you could’ve achieved with us. Glad to see that you’re doing well down south though.— LewisMcinnes (@TheLewisMcinnes) June 6, 2019
You think you would ever want back to rangers?— David Baillie (@duckyb123) June 6, 2019
