The departing Cardiff City winger was reportedly tracked by clubs including Leeds United and Aston Villa last season.

Cardiff City have confirmed the release of Kadeem Harris, months after the winger was linked with moves to clubs including Leeds United and Aston Villa.

Harris played 13 times last season as Cardiff made an instant return to the Championship, scoring once.

But his opportunities began to dry up after The Sun credited Leeds, Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers with an interest.

Whether any of the above remain keen on Harris remains to be seen (one suspects Bolton's financial issues will rule the Lancashire side out of the running), although Leeds and Villa have each seen wingers (Isaiah Brown and Jack Harrison, and Albert Adomah, respectively).

Considering Aston Villa's promotion, however, it is perhaps more likely that Harris will end up at Leeds (or another Championship club).

The 25-year-old has scored or assisted 11 goals in 57 games in the English second tier, all of which arrived as a Cardiff City player.

Would Harris be a good addition for Leeds or Aston Villa after leaving Cardiff?
