Tottenham are reportedly eyeing Bruno Fernandes.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola report Tottenham Hotspur have switched attention from Giovani Lo Celso to Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes starred for Portuguese side Sporting last season, scoring a staggering 28 goals from midfield.

He also added 15 assists, making him one of Europe’s most in demand players.

Real Betis have so far thwarted Tottenham’s efforts to sign Argentine playmaker Lo Celso.

Tottenham’s £53 million offer was rejected, with Betis holding out for clubs to pay his £88 million release clause, BBC Sport report.

Fernandes won’t come cheap either. He also has a release clause of a similar amount.

A Bola have reported Manchester United may be willing to pay up to £72 million for his signature.

Fernandes, 24, is unlikely to remain at Sporting beyond this summer.

Tottenham need to spend big on an attacking midfielder with Christian Eriksen entering the final year of his contract.

Eriksen told Ekstrabladet that he is looking for a new challenge, putting Tottenham in a difficult position.
