Lanzini will be itching to get back in for pre-season after most of this past season was spent coming back from an injury that ruled him out of the World Cup in Russia. He did return in February and went on to appear 10 times for Manuel Pellegrini's men.
The Daily Mirror reports that he is out of contract at the London Stadium next summer, and despite having a two-year option on his current terms, the Irons are planning to hand the 26-year-old a new five-year deal with Pellegrini a big fan of Lanzini's ability.
But he is not the only one proving to be an admirer of the creative midfielder. The Mirror adds that Fener are keen on making a move for Lanzini this summer after Mathieu Valbuena left the club.
The report notes that the Turkish side believe that they are fighting a losing battle trying to sign the Hammers star - who earns £70,000-a-week, according to Spotrac. But perhaps their interest should act as a warning to the Irons hierarchy that they should address his future as soon as possible.
West Ham are seemingly in a strong position with the option on his current deal, which perhaps makes the fresh contract talk somewhat surprising. But getting him tied down to a new five-year deal would send out a brilliant statement ahead of the rest of the summer, particularly as they attempt to convince some of their marquee targets to head to the London Stadium.
