The school-based drama is heading back to our screens but when?
Fans of Channel 4's Ackley Bridge can rejoice as a new series is headed our way and it's coming very soon indeed.
The school-based drama series will be heading into it's third season when it returns to our screens.
But just when is the new season's start date?
What's Ackley Bridge all about?
Ackley Bridge is a drama series set in a fictional school of the same name in a similarly fictitious Yorkshire town.
It follows in the footsteps of Waterloo Road and Grange Hill which both follow the day-to-day events in their respective schools.
Ackley Bridge, however, offers a slightly newer take on this genre of TV programmes as it features a much more multicultural cast than its predecessors and makes use of social media to build the world its students and characters inhabit.
When is series 3 of Ackley Bridge starting?
Ackley Bridge has enjoyed two successful series so far, with the show debuting in June 2017 with a second season arriving a year later in August 2018.
Now though, the third series is only just around the corner and Channel 4 have confirmed its start date as Tuesday, June 18th, 2019.
The first episode is set to air at 8pm on Channel 4 and will continue in the same time slot for the rest of the eight-episode series.
