Oxford United’s Gavin Whyte is reportedly on the radar of Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with Oxford United youngster Gavin Whyte.

According to Sunday Life Sport, Championship club Forest are interested in signing Whyte from League One outfit Oxford in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Reds are ready to offer £2 million as transfer fee in order to secure the services of the Northern Ireland international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward.

The 23-year-old joined Oxford from Crusaders in the summer of 2018 and is highly rated.

According to WhoScored, Whyte made 29 starts and seven substitute appearances in League One for Oxford this season, scoring seven goals in the process.

The youngster also scored twice in three League Cup matches and played in four FA games for his club this campaign, according to WhoScored.
