Nottingham Forest reportedly want Oxford United winger Gavin Whyte.

According to Sunday Life Sport (back page, 02/06), Nottingham Forest are planning to launch a £2million move for Oxford United winger Gavin Whyte.
Forest endured an up-and-down end to the season, and boss Martin O’Neill will be looking for reinforcements to bolster his squad ahead of the new Championship season.
With winger Joe Lolley linked away from the City Ground, Forest may be in the market for another wide man, with one of O’Neill’s compatriots on the radar.
Sunday Life Sport (back page, 02/06) report that Forest want Oxford ace Whyte, and are preparing to offer £2million to try and sign him – just a year after he cost £100,000 (Belfast Live).
Whyte, 23, joined Oxford from Crusaders in Northern Ireland last summer, and has enjoyed a fine first season in England, notching nine goals and seven assists.

Quick and skilful, Whyte already has four caps for Northern Ireland, and he may well have a future far above League One, with Forest hoping to do a deal this summer.
O’Neill may well know all about Whyte from Northern Irish football, and with a winger needed at the City Ground, Whyte certainly ticks boxes – but whether they can tempt Oxford into a deal remains to be seen.
