Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers want Tomas Kalas, and so do Neil Lennon’s Celtic, according to media speculation.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic and Rangers both are on the hunt for Kalas, who spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Bristol City in the Championship from Premier League club Chelsea.

The report has claimed that the 26-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or as a right-back, is rated at £5 million.

Kalas is a very good defender who will be a good signing for Rangers or Celtic, but it seems that the Old Firm clubs could miss out on the Czech Republic international.

According to The Bristol Post, Bristol City are in talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Kalas.

City are reportedly willing to make the 26-year-old their highest paid player, with the defender himself claimed to be interested in a permanent move to Lee Johnson’s side.

During the 2018-19 campaign, Kalas made 38 appearances in the Championship for City, according to WhoScored.
