Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, Leeds United and Derby County reportedly want Eamonn Brophy.
Eamonn Brophy is a player in demand, with Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, Leeds United and Derby County all reportedly interested in the Kilmarnock striker.
According to TEAMtalk, Rangers in the Scottish Premiership and Leeds and Frank Lampard’s Derby in the Championship in England want to secure the services of the 23-year-old striker this summer.
The Scottish striker has come to the fore this season and has progressed quite well at Kilmarnock over the past few months.
According to BBC Sport, the 23-year-old scored 11 goals and provided two assists for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Brophy has been called up to the Scotland squad for June’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Belgium.
This is the first time that the striker has been named in the senior Scotland squad, which is now managed by his former Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has given his take on Brophy, and he seems to rate him highly.
Sutton wrote in The Daily Record: “Brophy is interesting. He wasn’t really getting a look-in at Killie before Clarke arrived but looks to have improved massively for the coaching.
“He’s strong enough, quick, he works hard and is prepared to run channels and hold it up and he can finish.”
