Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham is being lined up for a transfer to Marseille, report the Daily Record.

Marseille this week appointed Andre Villas-Boas as the club’s new manager, and Ntcham is being considered as one of his first signings.

The French side are said to have scouted Ntcham this season.

Ntcham has spent two seasons at Celtic since his move from Manchester City.

He is a France under-21 international.

Marseille’s interest could be helped by Moussa Dembele, who has been a success in Ligue 1 since he left Celtic for Lyon.

The reports do have some interesting background.

French newspaper L’Equipe reported Ntcham’s agents offered him to Marseille last summer, but they decided not to pursue a move.
