Tottenham will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid in the final of the Champions League on Saturday evening.
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “It is very hard to call but I feel Liverpool will have a bit too much when it matters.
“I can see them winning 3-1 or 3-2 and in normal circumstances it would leave me overjoyed. On this occasion, however, I know my feelings will be mixed.”
Both Liverpool and Tottenham have had to defy the odds to reach the final of the Champions League this season, and no one can begrudge the Reds or Spurs their progress thus far in Europe’s premier club competition.
Liverpool will head into the final in Madrid as favourites, but whatever the result, it does promise to be a hugely entertaining game of football.
There should be a few goals in the final; at least there will lots of chances for the two teams and a lot of entertaining football.
One should not be surprised if the final outcome is decided on penalties.
