Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are reportedly battling Real Betis and Olympiakos to sign Eredivisie left-back Caner Cavlan.

Reported Nottingham Forest target Caner Cavlan has options from abroad and is considering his future, FC Emmen chairman Ronald Lubbers told RTV Drenthe earlier this month.
Cavlan was one of the most influential players in the Eredivisie last season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists from left-back as newly promoted Emmen comfortably avoided an immediate return to the Eerste Divisie.
With the Turkish-born Dutchman out of contract this summer, there are no shortage of clubs looking to offer him his big break outside of Holland.
El Desmarque reports that Nottingham Forest are interested in the 27-year-old, who also has admirers at Real Betis and Olympiakos.
And Forest should be encouraged by what chairman Lubbers said about Cavlan’s future earlier in May.

“Cavlan has offers from abroad and he is looking at all the options,” he admitted.
Cavlan would provide plenty of pace and creativity on the left hand side for Martin O’Neill’s Nottingham Forest.
Jack Robinson was the club’s first choice left-back for most of last season but the former Liverpool youngster is far less attack-minded than Cavlan and he could be immediately relegated to the bench by his arrival.
