Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing the Fenerbahce teen.
According to a report from Turkish-Football, Tottenham and Arsenal have recently scouted Fenerbahce ace Eljif Elmas, with up to five clubs interested in signing the Macedonian.
The 19-year-old central midfielder has been in fine form for Fenerbahce this season, racking up four goals in 29 Super Lig outings, and he is quite clearly a very talented young player.
Turkish-Football claims that Tottenham, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Napoli and Lazio are all interested in signing Elmas, although they suggest that the Lilywhites’ interest is the most concrete.
Turkish media outlet Super Haber TV claims that Fenerbahce value the teenager at around €20 million (£17.6 million), and in today’s day and age, that would surely have to be considered as excellent value for money.
Elmas is technically gifted and possesses a wonderful array of passing. He might find the intensity and the robust nature of the Premier League difficult to acclimatise to straight away, but he will undoubtedly be a star in the future.
And it seems as though both Tottenham and Arsenal are very keen on bringing him to the Premier League.
