Rangers reportedly won’t be moving to bring Pavol Safranko to Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record (28/05, p47), Rangers have ruled out any possibility of targeting striker Pavol Safranko this summer.
The Gers may well be in the market for a new striker this summer, with Kyle Lafferty’s future unclear and Dapo Mebude maybe not quite ready to support Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe just yet.
Steven Gerrard should be looking at potential striker signings in case Lafferty does leave, and Dundee United loanee Safranko has been making headlines at Tannadice.
Safranko, 24, hit 15 goals for Dundee United this season having joined on loan from Danish side Aalborg in August 2018, where he was struggling for first-team football.
Safranko has become a hero at Tannadice thanks to his goalscoring exploits, but with Robbie Neilson’s side missing out on promotion back to the top flight, he seemingly won’t be signing permanently.

Other Scottish clubs may now be interested in the Slovakian international striker, but the Daily Record (28/05, p47) claim that Rangers have ruled out any move to sign him.
Gerrard may have his sights set on other strikers, or have concerns that Safranko doesn’t have the ability to step up to a Scottish Premiership title challenge, but it would be little surprise to see him sign for another top-flight Scottish club.
