West Ham United loaned Aston Villa Robert Snodgrass two seasons ago.

Aston Villa fans are urging West Ham United’s Robert Snodgrass to come back to them following their promotion.
Snodgrass spent one season on loan at Villa back in the 2017/18 campaign and he remains a real fans’ favourite.
The Scottish international was brilliant at Villa, and his form there helped him force his way back into Manuel Pellegrini’s plans at West Ham.
Snodgrass played regularly for the Hammers last term, with Pellegrini a big fan of the experienced winger.
But Villa fans are now hopeful that a deal could be on to bring Snodgrass back to Villa Park.
Dean Smith has generally targeted younger players since taking charge at Villa, so signing Snodgrass would go against his policy.
West Ham are unlikely to want to sell the forward now, which makes any potential transfer look unlikely anyway.
Villa achieved promotion back to the Premier League by beating Derby County 2-1 at Wembley yesterday.
